How does a city settle into a person’s subconscious after a decade of living within its walls? And how does that internal memory compare to the literal, vibrant stories written on its public streets?

Join us for a special two-part art experience as part of the Open Studios Penang lineup, exploring George Town from the inside out:

🎨 Part 1: The Inner World (MassHaus)

We begin at MassHaus with sculptor Aboud Fares, who will walk us through his latest exhibition, In My Mind. Experience his suspended, kinetic sculptures in resin and steel—a personal visual vocabulary built over 11 years of absorbing the architecture, light, and atmosphere of Penang.

🚶♂️ Part 2: The Outer City (George Town Streets)

At dusk, we step out into the night air with Tiger Tatt, flipping the lens to George Town’s literal, outward storytelling. Together, we’ll explore the streetscape, iconic steel caricatures, and heritage walls under the evening streetlights—seeing how public art and local history forge our collective identity.
