Masjid Acheh:Β We'll start by learning about the Malay community and their history in Penang at this beautiful mosque.
Hock Teik Cheng Sin Temple:Β Next, we'll visit this amazing temple and discover the stories of the early Chinese people who came to Penang. Also, why is it named the Cannon Square. We will also make a quick stop at Cannon Street.
Armenian Street:Β We'll take a walk down Armenian Street and admire the different styles of buildings that show how diverse Penang's history is. Quick stop at street art here for photo opportunity.
Ah Quee Street:Β We'll learn about Chung Keng Kwee, an important person in Penang's past.
Bomba Station:Β We'll check out the first fire station built by the British in Malaysia β a piece of history!
Kwong Wah Yit Poh:Β We'll visit the office of a historic newspaper and see how the Chinese community shared their stories.
Tan Jetty:Β Last but not least, we'll visit Tan Jetty, a special place where we can learn about the Chinese people who came to Penang later on and the efforts to protect their way of life.
Notes:Β π’ Please arrive by 15 minutes earlier to ensure a timely start. Β π’ Malaysian weather can be unpredictable. Bring along Umbrella/raincoat.
